Francois

During one of walks around Paris, a man came up to us and started talking to us in French. Since I had no clue what he was saying, I tried to say no parlez-vous francais. But what came out was “no parlez-vous Francois”. This statement is not entirely true since I do talk to this co-worker named Francois. Even though I didn’t say the phrase correctly, he did get the idea that I was the wrong person to ask.
