Work!!!

The picture below describes perfectly how I sometimes feel at work.

These Contractors are installing the steel pillars in concrete to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement outside a sports bar downtown.

They are now in the process of cleaning up at the end of the day and anxious to go home.

*How long do you think it will be before they realize where their vehicle is parked? *

At least they are parked at a bar!!

When Dad is a graphic designer

We all know that Moms love to dress up their kids. But when Dad is a graphic designer, anything is possible..

It all started out with the innocent baby picture below...

About time for an UPDATE!!!

Back in January, I made a similar post stating it was about time for another post with all intentions to making another post in between now and then. Well if you actually check my blog, my good intentions ended up resulting with not a single post. Needless to say work and little boy have kept my very busy. No promises, but more attempts will be made in the future.

Speaking of little boy, just barley over three months old and is doing very good. His sleeping habits are improving, which is much welcomed by mom and dad. Even though he is letting mom and dad sleep a little more, he still reluctant to allow us to eat a hot meal. Prior to dinner every night he is usually content, but when ever we sit down to eat he has to remind us who is most important and cries until our food is cold. You would think it would help with a diet, but if you seen me lately that thought wouldn’t ever cross your mind. Speaking of eating, Brendan’s new thing is trying to eat his hands. Sometime the ability to keep his hands out of his mouth while trying to feed him has become a challenge in itself.

Anyway, I thought it was time to share a photo

About Time

It has been a while since making a post. In fact, I had to go back and take a look at this blog to remember what and when was my last post. Not to say that nothing has been happening, just been to busy with Brendan, work, and fighting off sleep deprivation.

Baby Update: Brendan is doing well. Doctor says he is a healthy baby boy, just he needs to keep up with gaining weight. Of course he is exceeding his objective. Other than that he is acting like a normal baby, trying to keep mom and dad up during all sleeping hours of the day.

Great Family Programming

Last weekend, I was awaken about 2 am in the morning by our 6 week old alarm clock. Brendan!! He thought it was a good time for a snack. After feeding him, I had the feeling it would be a little while until he would fall asleep. So I turned on the TV, assuming that the majority of the channels would have info commercials, I headed straight to the HBO channels on the programming guide. Now I believe there is not much call for family programs this early in the morning. But when HBO Family has a show called “Atlantic City Hooker: It’s Not EZ Being A Ho”, it doesn’t seem like right show for the channel.

Merry Christmas

To My Democratic Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. N ot to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To My Republican Friends:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Surpplies!!!!

If you haven’t ever seen UHF, I highly recommend this movie. Especially if your in the mood for a movie where the jokes are so bad/stupid that they are hilarious. UHF was not going to be the subject of the post, but for those who have not seen the movie the subject of this post will be confusing. There is a point in the movie where the bad guys hear a noise, upon searching for source they go to open the “Supplies” (sign on the door) closet. As they open the door one of the good guys with a Chinese accent, says “Surpplies”, before the butt kicking begins.

Now to the subject at hand, during Shell’s first ultrasound the tech noted that she 90% sure that the baby was girl. So we have been planning according with buying clothes and decorating the nursery. Also most the gifts have been in mind of us expecting a girl. Well you probably see where I’m going with this. Our new son was born November 27, 2007. Even though the day of the birth was not the surprise. The day before, during another ultra sound verified the surprise.

Now decorating the nursery was not that big of deal, since the chosen colors were green and purple. Purple is not the most manly color, but it is better than pink like the majority of his cloths hanging in the closet. I believe I read somewhere babies cannot see color for the first few months, so I have some time to paint the room again. Even if this not the case, I’m sure he will not remember.

Giving Thanks

This morning a couple of co-workers were standing behind my desk, discussing what time a meeting was going to be held. I chimed in, “it has been moved to Tuesday.” Just as I finished the sentence, I realized today is Tuesday. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’ll start by giving thanks for the short work week and the long weekend to come.
