Boise Trip

I was planning on making this post a week or so ago, but have not been the best at keeping up with this blog since I have been back. To make up for this lack of activity, here are a few posts today.

As previously mentioned, Shell and I headed to Boise for Dom’s wedding. We had a great time and enjoyed catching up with many friends. This was small and lovely wedding located at a vineyard in Kuna (near Boise), Idaho. To my surprise, which I did not think that it was possible, I believe the length was shorter than ours. In other words it was very nice. Not due the shortness of the ceremony.

The amusing highlights of the evening were the karaoke and dancing, even though I did not partake in either. As for the karaoke, there is nothing like a group of drunk people trying to sing. I’m not saying that I would have done a better job. In fact, I know I wouldn’t have. For the majority of the songs, the words were changed intentionally giving whole them a whole new meaning. And of course the fun field songs, even with no word substitutes, like ICE ICE BABY, and BABY GOT BACK.

As for the dancing, with the help of wine Tom was the star of the event. This started him participating in the Hokey Pokey (not sure if I spelled that right, but I really don’t care) and continued through the next song which was some modern Hip-Hop version of the Hokey Pokey. I actually have film of the later, but with the lack of my ability to hold the camera still and shortness of the clip, I decided not to place it on the internet.

Yo baby! You settled in Washington amigo? I couldn't make it for the wedding because I'm a working stiff, but the big move to Oregon this fall is on, so I'll be blowing into Washington like the breeze in late august, most likely...you and Michelle going to be there?

We'll be there in late August and Back to Poky the 2nd week of August. But I have heard this story before with no signs of Andy actually showing up. You are still welcome anytime. I still have the feeling that we will only see you, if we come to you. Prove me wrong.
