And It Begins

I have been meaning to start this a long now. But today is a day that is described as an “ICELAND SPEICAL” around the office. So there is plenty of time to start this blog. You may be asking what is an “ICELAND SPECIAL”. Well first it is very dark day, followed by a light breeze, aka gale force winds. The gusts today are approximately 35 to 45 meters per second (75 to 100mph). In addition to the wind, there is what Icelanders call a flurry. Flurry is any amount snow up to a couple of inches, anything above is snow. Basically it is a very cold, dark, snowy, and VERY WINDY day. Right now everybody in stuck in the office, with the ocean spray hitting the window (ocean is about 20 yards away), building rocking back and forth, and I have a feeling we will all be stuck here for a long time today.

The great news is that I am coming back to the states soon. I am to leave Tuesday the 14th of November, but how the forecast is currently it might be Wednesday. Again we will have to wait and see. Just to let everyone know, I will be leaving for Poky the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
